I was tasked to develop a display for rare Pokemon cards intended as a birthday gift. As the request came in urgently, I had only a few hours to develop a 3D-printable version of the client’s idea. He wanted to have a half-open Pokeball with the card shown inside.
I managed to create a 3D model that:
- could be printed in separate pieces, each of different colors to mimic the original Pokeball
- could be printed without the need for support
- is hinged like the original ball
- had some customization for the birthday boy
All the files are now freely accessible on my Thingiverse account.
